Celebrating Female Entrepreneurship: Empowering Women in Business on International Women’s Day
On International Women’s Day 2024 here at Pendragon Home Improvements we are celebrating female Entrepreneurship & all the women that we know who are running small & large female owned businesses.
Historically, women have faced numerous barriers to entry & advancement in business. In the UK we are fortunate not to have limited access to education, but there are still societal expectations & biases. However, despite these obstacles, women have continued to defy the odds, breaking barriers & carving out their space in the business world.
There is an incredible diversity or industries & ventures that are touched by female entrepreneurship. From tech start ups to artisanal crafts, from home improvements to business coaching, women are leaving their mark in every sector imaginable. This diversity not only showcases the entrepreneurial spirit of women but also underscores their ability to innovate & adapt to various market demands.
Moreover, female entrepreneurs bring unique perspectives and approaches to business often prioritising collaborations empathy & social responsibility. Studies have shown that companies with diverse leadership teams perform better financially & are more innovative. Therefore, the rise of women owned businesses isn’t just a matter of equality it’s also a strategic advantage for the economy as a whole.
Kay Adams our owner says:
“The Home Improvement sector has historically been a male dominated industry, but the rise of women within the sector should be celebrated. Women make up a large proportion of the enquiries that we receive & with the large selection of colours & styles to chose from replacing your homes double glazing & entrance doors is now an opportunity to enhance your home’s style rather than just replacing white frames with white frames. As a business we recognise this & I work hard to endure that our company culture is one of guiding our clients chose styles that compliment their home & personality.”
As we celebrate International Women’s Day, let us applaud the achievements of female business owners. Your resilience, creativity & determination are an inspiration. On this International Women’s Day, let us continue to champion & support each other as we strive for a more equitable & prosperous future for all.
